Closing event Participation Days 2006/2007
On 26th October 2007, the closing event of the countrywide campaign Participation Days '06/'07 takes place at the "Bear Hall" of the "Old Town House" in Berlin. We can now look back on a successful year of activities consisting of 365 Participation Days. During one year, the BAG WfbM called attention to the integration of persons with multiple and severe disabilities in cooperation with the professional associations of the Federal Protestant Association of Care for Persons with Disabilities, the Federal “Lebenshilfe” Association of Persons with Mental Disabilities, the Caritas Care for the Disabled and Psychiatric Services as well as the Association of Anthroposophical Therapeutic Pedagogy. The patronage over the campaign was taken over by the vice-chancellor of the Federal Republic of Germany.

In Germany, many meetings, initiatives and actions were carried out under the slogan of the Participation Days: Any discrimination based on disability must be prohibited! An international conference in Cologne equally dealt with the topic of participation in working life. In this context, participants from Germany and other European countries took an opportunity to catch up on the various offers of integration in working life on the ground at nearby workshops in Cologne.

Apart from sociopolitical expert talk, the closing event in Berlin will also include a colourful cultural programme.

Be inspired by interesting ideas and enjoy the cultural events.

We shall be delighted to welcome you on 26th October 2007 in the "Bear Hall" of the "Old Town House" in Berlin!
