German Workshops at their best: Workshop Fair 2008
The 23rd workshops fair “Werkstätten:Messe 2008” will be held in Nuremberg from 6th to 9th March. In Hall 9 (CCN Mitte), over 200 exhibitors have already registered to present products and services of German workshops. Institutions and organisations from several European countries are equally present. As this year’s special guest country, Austria takes a prominent position on the fair. In addition, Switzerland, France, Poland and Hungary are represented as well. Registration is still possible.
At the opening ceremony, Günter Mosen, chairman of BAG WfbM, will be delighted to welcome the Bavarian Minister for Employment, Social Affairs, Family and Women, Christa Stevens, as well as Austrian Federal Minister of Social Affairs and Consumer Protection, Dr. Erwin Buchinger, and the Polish Commissioner for the Needs of Persons with Disabilities, State Secretary Jaroslaw Duda. At the evening of the opening day, the Federal State of Bavaria will be giving a reception in their honour.
The fair is open to the general public an all four days. As in the years before, an extensive lecture programme with German and Austrian speakers has been set up (only in German language). Visitors of the Werkstätten:Messe 2008 will have the opportunity to listen to over 70 lectures given by workshop experts. One segment of this lecture programme focuses on international topics, especially on the possibilities of transnational cooperation. Parallel to the fair, several meetings of representatives of various national associations will take place.
