Workshops for Adapted Work are Pillars of Integration
The professional integration of persons with disabilities is a major goal of social policy. Persons who cannot be employed on the open labour market because of their disability, have the opportunity to participate in working life in workshops for adapted work. During a visit of a workshop in Bamberg, Melanie Huml, State Secretary at the Bavarian State Ministry of Labour and Social Affairs, recently stated: "Workshops are an indispensable pillar of the occupational rehabilitation of persons with disabilities. Their services contribute significantly to the integration of persons with disabilities into work and society."

Melanie Huml will represent the Bavarian government at the State Reception of the workshop fair “Werkstätten:Messe” on 6 March 2008 in Nuremberg.
