Since 1 January 2008, nine partners have been working together to develop the JobBudget. This project is aimed at persons who are, due to the nature or severity of their disability, entitled to a workshop place. The goal of JobBudget is it, to support them on their way into the open labour market.
The bottom line of JobBudget is the combination of different services, such as centres for independent living, integration services and workshops for adapted work. The major goal of JobBudget is the introduction of a new service on the national level that links the existing ambulant or day-care services by means of the Personalised Budget. As a result, more workshop employees with disabilities should be able to find an employment subject to social insurance contribution. JobBudget is financed by the Federal Compensation Fund assigned to the Federal Ministry of Labour and Social Affairs.
