Many (potential) exhibitors of the workshop fair in Nuremberg have recently received a letter from “Expo-Guide”. So did BAG WfbM. The sender (a company established in Mexico) asks to update the corresponding data in the existing list of exhibitors with the following reference: “Update your data (entry under WERKSTAETTEN-MESSE)”. According to the sender, this update is necessary in order to allow for smooth contacts with your company and to make sure that only correct data will be published.
First of all, “Expo-Guide” did not search correctly, as our workshop fair is not a fair for car services (“Trade Fair for Car Workshop and Service”). Secondly, the return of the form implies a three-year contract for an advertisement. As a consequence, this ad will cost a total of 3,543 euros. Courtously, the contract automatically extends by one additional year if the written notice of cancellation is not issued any later than three months before the end of the assignment by registered mail. Agreed exclusive jurisdiction and place of fulfilment is Mexico City, Mexico. The only applicable law is that of Mexico.
The hosting organisation of the workshop fair, NürnbergMesse GmbH, therefore underlines that the only official print and online catalogues corresponding to their fairs are exclusively edited by NürnbergMesse GmbH or (in this case) BAG WfbM.
However, as exhibitor, you will be increasingly contacted by other companies that solicit their products and services in unauthorised ways together with the name of the event and with the brand of NürnbergMesse GmbH. That is how a collaboration and/ or authorisation by the NürnbergMesse GmbH is suggested despite any real existance of such a collaboration. The used data may have been copied from publicly accessible sources (e.g. online - and print index of exhibitors, catalogues etc.).
More specificly, you are offered entries in fair catalogues, internet directories, advertisements in fair magazines and also accessory products and services related to the presentation on the fair (e.g. mobile phone rental, booths, etc.). Please examine and compare these offers with those of other providers. The cost differences may be significant.
NürnbergMesse GmbH has been working with selected and certified service partners officially authorised by NürnbergMesse GmbH for many years. If you are not sure whether a service provider is a partner of NürnbergMesse GmbH, please contact the competent project team or the service team of the NürnbergMesse GmbH.
