Günter Mosen confirmed as chairman of BAG WfbM
On Friday, 28 November 2008, a new BAG WfbM Board was elected. The four-year term of the previous board had expired. The highest body of BAG WfbM – the assembly of delegates – elected the new members of the Presidency and then the new Executive Board. Günter Mosen, was re-elected as chairman of the Board.

Only two members of the previous Board ran for office again: Günter Mosen, executive chairman of Barmherzige Brüder Trier e. V., Trier (Rhineland-Palatinate) and Ralf Hagemeier, manager of Ledder Workshops, Tecklenburg (North Rhine-Westphalia). Annelie Lohs, Jena, Bernd Conrad, Detmold, and Bernhard Sackarendt, Meppen, chose not to run for the Board again.

On Thursday, 27 November 2008, the assembly of delegates first heard a report on the socio-political work of BAG WfbM. Günter Mosen presented the delegates an impressive report on the past four years. The member institutions of BAG WfbM have created 40,000 new integration opportunities over the last four years. Every day, workshops for adapted work find individual solutions for every employee regardless of the nature or severity of the disability. In this context, Günter Mosen underlined the workshops’ success in making human dignity possible on a daily basis, although funding did not significantly increase during the past four years.

The report was followed by the presentation of the annual accounts 2007. Finally, the list of candidates for the presidency was opened. After the elections, the new Board was constituted and is now ready to resume its work.

Günter Mosen has been confirmed as chairman of BAG: WfbM with a vast majority of 93 percent of delegate votes. Vice-chairmen for the 10th term from 2008 to 2012 are Vera Neugebauer, Hanover (Lower Saxony), Martin Berg, Gelnhausen (Hesse); Ralf Hagemeier, Tecklenburg (North Rhine-Westphalia), and Axel Willenberg, Lübeck (Schleswig-Holstein).

The three leaving vice-chairmen from the previous term, Annelie Lohs, Bernhard Sackarendt and Bernd Conrad were honoured in a stunning farewell ceremony.
