Governmental delegation from Thailand to visit BAG:WfbM On 21 and 22 April 2010, BAG:WfbM is going to receive the visit of a delegation from the Government of Thailand. The Unit for the Integration for Persons with Disabilities in the Ministry of Social Development and Human Security is about to develop concepts to improve the integration of persons with disabilities in society. In order to inform themselves on existing systems to promote the participation of persons with dis-abilities into working life, representatives of the Government are going to visit Switzerland, Germany and the Netherlands. For two days, they will examine different institutions for the vocational rehabili-tation of persons with disabilities in Frankfurt and Mainz to learn more of their respective concepts. BAG:WfbM will present the German system of workshops for adapted work to the delegates, as well as its work on the federal and international level. The last visit of a delegation from Thailand took place on 7 July 2009.

Who we are
Bundesarbeitsgemeinschaft Werkstätten für behinderte Menschen e. V. (BAG:WfbM) is the political representative of workshops for adapted work in Germany. We represent 94% of all German workshops. All public welfare organisations and religious denominations work jointly in our organisation. Our task is to give expert advice on questions related to employment, vocational training, financing and legal issues. Additionally, we are actively involved in the legislation process. BAG:WfbM promotes for the participation of persons with disabilities in working life.
