EASPD-Conference on the Inclusion of Persons with Disabilities
The next conference of the European Association of Service Providers for Persons with Disabilities (EASPD) titled "TOWARDS COMMUNITY LIVING: Current Realities & Future Challenges" is going to take place in Skopje on 7-9 October 2010.

The general goal of the conference will be to facilitate the full inclusion of persons with disabilities in society in the light of the UN Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities.

The discussions will centre on:
  • The specific situation of stakeholders involved in the disability sector in the different regions of Europe and the challenges they are facing
  • The wish to promote, facilitate and enhance cooperation practices among stakeholders of the disability sector
  • The international policies and texts relevant for the sector
The conference addresses:
  • professionals, service providers
  • people with disabilities and their families
  • researchers, educators
  • policy makers

Who we are
Bundesarbeitsgemeinschaft Werkstätten für behinderte Menschen e. V. (BAG:WfbM) is the political representative of workshops for adapted work in Germany. We represent 94% of all German workshops. All public welfare organisations and religious denominations work jointly in our organisation.

Our task is to give expert advice on questions related to employment, vocational training, financing and legal issues. Additionally, we are actively involved in the legislation process. BAG:WfbM promotes for the participation of persons with disabilities in working life.
